Inspired by the concept of a theater and a platform for performance, the broadway brewery was designed as a massive inward-looking volume. With the intention of maximizing the use of site space, the design invokes an industrial-chic aesthetic with splashes of colors.

The design evolved from the concept of a lively asian eatery that combines the bustling atmosphere of an asian street dining experience with the elegance of formal dining.

Given site is a villa in an upscale locality abutting one of the busiest main roads in the city of hyderabad. The villa is tucked in very close set-backs from neighboring structures with limited foot print on ground and first floors. The client wanted the salon to exude grandeur, attracting and leaving a lasting impression on commuters passing by.
The site for makau kitchen and bar is located in the heart of the city. The land has 60′ high office buildings on either side, while a 65′ high metro station forms the backdrop. Owing to these tall built forms around the site, the only clear approach was from the inner side of the lane.

Zero40 brewery is located in the heart of hyderabad’s software district. The design seamlessly combines the essence of an existing orchard with the vibrant social ambiance that guests would expect at a brewery. The site is a 1.2-acre rectangular plot with 10 mango trees and a neem tree. The design revolves around the client’s vision and the existing orchard, intentionally avoiding disturbing or pruning the trees.
The project is situated in the jubilee hills neighborhood of hyderabad, surrounded by residential plots on the south and east sides, with approach roads on the north and west sides. The site features a gentle slope from the south-west to the north-east, descending by 6 feet, while the southern and eastern plots are elevated by 20 feet with retaining walls.
The client wanted an interesting space that aligned with a very specific narrative centered on the brand and its identity. The concept was based on a newspaper taken around the city by a fat, lazy pigeon to disseminate news about the bar, giving the bar its name. The idea was to give customers varied choices and experiences in the same space so they can bar hop without actually leaving the bar.
